At Yirra Care, we’re proud to launch the Empowerment Yoga Program — a dynamic, adaptive initiative designed to help individuals living with disabilities or unemployment challenges unlock their inner strength. This unique program blends yoga, mindfulness, and group support to boost physical health, reduce stress, and build real confidence.

This adaptive yoga program runs for 12 weeks, with weekly 2-hour sessions combining movement and mental wellbeing. Each class is designed to help participants manage stress, strengthen their body, and develop a positive mindset for the future.

Our programs align naturally with NDIS Services in Brisbane, ensuring participants can integrate yoga and mindfulness into their support plans.

👩‍🏫 Meet Your Empowerment Yoga Program Team

Lisa Glynn

Lisa Glynn brings 30+ years of experience in disability support and Hatha yoga. Based in Deception Bay, Lisa is known for warm, inclusive teaching that adapts to all abilities. Her classes blend mindful movement with genuine care, helping participants feel safe, supported, and confident.


📍 Program Details

  • Location: Woody Point Memorial Hall, Oxley Avenue, Woody Point, QLD (fully accessible).

  • Schedule: 12 weeks, weekly 2-hour sessions.

  • Group Size: 10–15 participants for personalised attention.

Session Flow

  1. Check-In & Goal Setting (15 mins): Share reflections and set intentions.

  2. Adaptive Yoga (1 hour): Gentle poses, breathwork, and mindfulness for all levels.

  3. Counsellor-Led Group (45 mins): Build confidence, share experiences, and learn resilience tools.

This structure supports wellbeing and independence, just like our NDIS In-Home Support services that extend care beyond the group setting.
